Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is set to be fit for their Premier League match against Everton.<\/p>\n

Onana, 27,\u00a0was injured late on in Cameroon\u2019s 3-0 victory\u00a0over Mauritius in a World Cup qualifier last week but has trained before Sunday\u2019s meeting.<\/p>\n

United boss Erik ten Hag also said defender Luke Shaw will be available but there are doubts over striker Rasmus Hojlund\u2019s fitness.<\/p>\n

\u201cAndre is OK. He stepped in during training, so he is good,\u201d Ten Hag said.<\/p>\n

\u201cRasmus is a close finish, he is training, he is down and outside. He is making very good steps and we will have to wait to make a final decision.\u201d<\/p>\n

Denmark international Hojlund suffered a muscle strain in the second half of\u00a0United\u2019s 1-0 win over Luton\u00a0at Old Trafford on 11 November.<\/p>\n

United are boosted by the return of England defender Shaw, who has recovered from the thigh muscle injury which had kept him out since August.<\/p>\n

Asked about Shaw\u2019s return, Ten Hag said: \u201cYou can mention many things, you can mention his physical and his technical ability, his leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s clear, a long time in the season we didn\u2019t have a left full-back so yes, we\u2019re very happy he\u2019s back. That\u2019s a good sign and he will help us [to be] more stable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ten Hag also dismissed claims of a fallout between himself and French centre-back Raphael Varane.<\/p>\n

It had been reported\u00a0that the Dutchman\u2019s decision to pick Jonny Evans ahead of Varane for the Manchester derby last month resulted in tension between the pair.<\/p>\n

Ten Hag denied there was any issue between the pair and added: \u201cI don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about [with] these rumours.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a very important player, but there\u2019s internal competition and that [is how it] should be at a top club as we are. There is internal competition.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you have to decide on two players, who do brilliant \u2013 Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire, you have to make a choice for the position.\u201d<\/p>\n
