It strengthened its unparalleled supremacy in 2012 by purchasing and integrating EMI&#8217;s collection for $1.9 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The record label owns 32% of the worldwide music business and generates about $7 billion annually. In an effort to replicate its competitors&#8217; success, Warner Bros. established its music branch in 1958.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It marked the beginning of a significant music industry change across the globe. Warner Music Group, which generates annual sales of almost $5 billion, is now more than just a record company. A NASDAQ listing and a number of subsidiaries are features of this huge entertainment company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a><strong>Sony Music Entertainment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sony Group Corporation is still one of the most lucrative corporate companies in the world. Sony happens to hold the world&#8217;s most lucrative record label, with an annual income of close to $9 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonymusic.co.uk\/\">Sony Music Entertainment<\/a>, one of the world&#8217;s &#8220;big three&#8221; music firms, holds the rights to about one-third of the musicians you love and adore. For example Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen are two names that come to mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a><strong>Atlantic Records<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ahmet and Nesuhi Ertegun, Turkish-American brothers, established Atlantic Records in 1947. The Erteguns were huge admirers of 1940s black music and lavished cash on soul, jazz, and R&amp;B singers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Atlantic Records had a string of early successes, with some performers selling over 400,000 singles. <a href=\"https:\/\/raycharles.com\/\">Ray Charles<\/a>, who was unknown at the time, was signed a few years later by the Ertegun brothers. Later, they specialized in rock music, signing musicians such as Led Zeppelin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The corporation now has an annual revenue of $4 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a><strong>BMG Rights Management<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sole owner is Bertelsmann Music Group. BMG Rights Management, a distinct company, is a record label as well as a music publisher. It supports a diverse range of artists from throughout the world, from Nena, a rising pop-rock artist, to Quincy Jones, a famous American record producer. BMG is based in Berlin, Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BMG, which had been controlled by Sony since the 1970s, gained independence in 2008 and retained many of its lucrative music rights contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While BMG Rights Management&#8217;s annual income is not as large as the top three, it is nevertheless in excess of $500 million.
