{"id":112659,"date":"2023-10-20T13:08:28","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T13:08:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/10\/20\/megan-thee-stallion-rapper-settles-legal-dispute-with-former-label\/"},"modified":"2023-10-20T13:08:28","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T13:08:28","slug":"megan-thee-stallion-rapper-settles-legal-dispute-with-former-label","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/10\/20\/megan-thee-stallion-rapper-settles-legal-dispute-with-former-label\/","title":{"rendered":"Megan Thee Stallion: Rapper settles legal dispute with former label"},"content":{"rendered":"<br><div id=\"article-text\">\n                        \n\n                        \n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Megan Thee Stallion has reportedly reached a settlement to end a long-running legal battle with her former record label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rapper first filed a lawsuit against 1501 Certified Entertainment in 2020, claiming they were stopping her from releasing music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the pair will now &#8220;amicably part ways&#8221;,\u00a0Billboard has reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Megan and 1501 &#8220;mutually reached a confidential settlement to resolve their legal differences&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No specific details have been given over the agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement, label boss Carl Crawford said that he and his company &#8220;wish Megan the very best in her life and career&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2020, the 28-year-old said on an Instagram Live that she &#8220;didn&#8217;t really know what was in [her] contract&#8221; when she first signed it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I was young.
