Goita in lengthy conversations about security in West Africa and the Sahel behind closed doors.<\/p>\n<p>Following the meeting, Mr. Kan-Dapaah told the media that Ghana and Mali have had close historical ties stretching back to the early post-colonial years and that as a result, Ghana is concerned about the welfare and advancement of the Malian people.<\/p>\n<p>Mali receives a special message from Akufo-Addo<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/5ca2d4063800421898c0e5406b8cb92c\"\/><\/p>\n<p>We did discuss how we can assist one another because a fire in your neighbor&#8217;s home must worry you, he remarked.<\/p>\n<p>He added that Col. Goita sent President Akufo-Addo &#8220;warm welcomes&#8221; and said Ghana was looking forward to more interactions with Mali.<\/p>\n<p>Maj. Gen.
