Ghanaian highlife musician Kuami Eugene is unhappy that Mr. Drew has failed to fulfil his financial obligation after writing about eighty percent of Mr. Drew\u2019s song, ‘Case.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kuami Eugene revealed that he wrote the hook and parts of second verse of the song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I wrote the entire hook, and some part of the second verse. I wrote like 80 percent of that song. In fact, before he came to record the song that hook and everything was already done, he listened to it and sang it,\u201d Kuami Eugene told vlogger Naana Donkor Arthur in a TikTok Live conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said he writes songs for other artistes because he cannot sing all the songs he produces, especially when he notices a particular song fits the style of another artiste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s just a blessing that you write songs for people to sing even though I get paid for it. Drew didn’t do that [didn’t pay me] but we will talk about it later,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kuami Eugene added that the song has gained prominence now but there is an issue he needs to solve with Mr. Drew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I can actually make it a legal case but it is not necessary. We are brothers. I think he should see me so we talk about this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I love peace, so me, Kaywa, him, whatever is going on, let’s get it fixed. He can send one split sheet and that will solve everything. I am saying this because he has seen my messages and has blue-ticked me as if he has not seen them but the song is doing well on the market,” he further stated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explained that the only part of the song he didn’t write are Strongman and Sista Afia’s verses and Morphty’s verse on the remix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lynx Entertainment signee is known for writing songs for Kuame Yogot, Keche, MzVee, among other artistes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joyce Blessing’s newly released ‘Victory’ song was also written by him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
