Kennedy Agyapong\u00a0has heavily descended on the Tourism minister for saying he wants to use Funerals in Ghana as tourist attraction sites.<\/p>\n
Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal has hinted at a potential shift in the country\u2019s tourism strategy that could see the rise of \u201cfuneral tourism\u201d as a means to bolster the local tourism industry.<\/p>\n
While the planned initiative may not sit too well with some industry players, Dr. Awal believes it is a unique opportunity to showcase Ghana\u2019s rich culture and traditions to the world.<\/p>\n
Outlining his vision for \u201cfuneral tourism,\u201d Dr Awal emphasized that funerals in Ghana were not just solemn events but vibrant celebrations of life that offered a window into the country\u2019s diverse cultures.<\/p>\n
According to him, showcasing these traditions will provide an authentic and immersive cultural experience for tourists.<\/p>\n
This decision by the Government irritated Kennedy Agyapong who called them out for not being visionary leaders.<\/p>\n
