Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would be \u201copen\u201d to selling his stake if it was in the best interest of the club.<\/p>\n

Levy runs the club on behalf of majority shareholder ENIC, who own 86.58%, acting as chairman since 2001.<\/p>\n

Tottenham fans called for Levy to step down last season after disappointing performances.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got no real interest to leave Tottenham, but I have a duty to consider anything that anyone may want to propose,\u201d Levy told Bloomberg.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not about me, it\u2019s about what\u2019s right for the club. We have 30,000 shareholders who own approximately 13.5 per cent. We run this club as if it is a public company.\u201d<\/p>\n

The mood at Tottenham has lifted this season following the\u00a0appointment of Ange Postecoglou\u00a0in the summer, but issues off the field continue to keep Levy under the spotlight.<\/p>\n

Fans protested before last month\u2019s win over Manchester United due to the club\u2019s decision to increase match day ticket prices for 2023-24.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Joe Lewis \u2013 Tottenham owner until October when he ceased to be \u201ca person with significant control\u201d and the club shares were handed over to his family trust \u2013 was indicted on charges of insider trading in America in July, although he\u00a0pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n

Spurs are unbeaten after five games \u2013 winning four and drawing one \u2013 and sit second in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Levy admitted earlier this week that the club\u00a0made \u201cmistakes\u201d\u00a0in appointing \u201ctrophy managers\u201d Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.<\/p>\n

The 61-year-old confirmed that several parties have previously expressed an interest in the club, especially since they moved into a new 62,850-seater stadium in 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf anyone wants to make serious propositions to the board of Tottenham, we will consider it along with our advisors. And if we felt it was in the interests of the club, we would be open to anything,\u201d Levy said.<\/p>\n
