culture, and international.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-974517 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Rhydms1-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In her address, Producer of Rhythms on da Runway, Yvonne Ocloo, mentioned that this year\u2019s event will be a vibrant celebration of Africa\u2019s rich cultural heritage, uniting communities and honouring the dedicated individuals and organizations tirelessly working towards promoting Africa on the global stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">She also highlighted the social responsibility aspect of the event, saying that this year\u2019s edition will spotlight two vital concerns: the illegal mining crisis in the Atewa Forest of Ghana and the environmental impact caused by the disposal of second-hand clothing into our oceans.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-974516 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Rhydms-6-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This unique approach aims to initiate discussions, inspire action, and raise awareness of sustainable practices in the fashion industry,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The main event on December 2nd,2023 will feature iconic musical performances, including three-time Grammy nominees Rocky Dawuni and Morgan Heritage, as well as other renowned African artists.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-974528 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screen-Shot-2023-09-21-at-9.40.22-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"572\" height=\"460\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Accompanying this musical extravaganza will be a spectacular fashion showcase featuring talented designers who draw inspiration from Africa\u2019s vibrant cultures and natural landscapes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Creative President of NINETEEN57, Kofi Okyere-Darko (K O D), said: \u201cAs we venture into \u2018The Aqua Edition,\u2019 we are reminded that our actions have a profound impact on our planet and future generations.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-974515 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Rhydms-5-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It is our sacred duty to safeguard these invaluable havens of biodiversity, not just for the sake of our children, but for the entire world to inherit the beauty and life they hold.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Through this event, we aspire to promote conscious consumerism, visionary design, and thoughtful decision-making that prioritize environmental stewardship and social responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-974530 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screen-Shot-2023-09-21-at-9.43.27-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"578\" height=\"732\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">South Africa High Commissioner to Ghana, Grace Jeanet Mason, who officially launched this edition commended the organisers of the prestigious Pan-African fashion show for thinking about diversity and social impact through the inclusion of the SDGs in the Programme outlooks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">She added that her office will support addressing the SDG-six as it forms part of the main focus of the commission.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-974532 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screen-Shot-2023-09-21-at-9.44.36-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"463\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Dignitaries present at the launch included the Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare;
