{"id":100350,"date":"2023-09-17T12:39:51","date_gmt":"2023-09-17T12:39:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/09\/17\/forgetting-my-lines-on-stage-was-the-most-embarrassing-moment-of-my-career-adjetey-anang\/"},"modified":"2023-09-17T12:39:51","modified_gmt":"2023-09-17T12:39:51","slug":"forgetting-my-lines-on-stage-was-the-most-embarrassing-moment-of-my-career-adjetey-anang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/09\/17\/forgetting-my-lines-on-stage-was-the-most-embarrassing-moment-of-my-career-adjetey-anang\/","title":{"rendered":"Forgetting my lines on stage was the most embarrassing moment of my career \u2013 \u00a0Adjetey Anang\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_30\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<h3><strong>Especially young artists and actresses, veteran Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang has counseled against thinking that their skill alone would carry them to the top of their field.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The \u201cThings We Do for Love\u201d actor made this claim in an exclusive interview with Emcee Bebe on Ultimate 106.9 FM\u2019s Saturday entertainment program, Entertainment Records.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-901\" data-method=\"placement-service\"\/><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-114\" data-inserter-version=\"2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTalent is raw, it\u2019s merely nature\u2019s gift to man, thus it has to be developed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-909\" data-method=\"placement-service\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Adjetey stressed the need to develop one\u2019s ability via the acquisition of a skill in order to make the most of it.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-910\" data-method=\"placement-service\"\/><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-122\" data-inserter-version=\"2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A person\u2019s \u201craw talent\u201d can only carry them so far, but \u201cthe skill has enough ways through which one can ride on to the top,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-911\" data-method=\"placement-service\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Adjetey Anang related a painful anecdote of a time when he had been overconfident in his abilities and had blanked out on stage because he hadn\u2019t done his homework before a performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t forget that experience at the National Theatre, I forgot my lines entirely..\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-912\" data-method=\"placement-service\"\/><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-123\" data-inserter-version=\"2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, Adjetey Anang is a Ghanaian actor, popularly known as \u201cPusher\u201d, which was his screen name in the television series Things We Do for Love.<\/p>\n<p>He has been featured in many Ghanaian movies, including \u201cDeadly Voyage\u201d, \u201cA Sting in a Tale\u201d, \u201cThe Perfect Picture\u201d and others.
