Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not concerned about the possibility of forward Mohamed Salah being targeted by Saudi Arabian clubs in January.<\/p>\n
The Reds rejected a\u00a0\u00a3150m bid\u00a0for the 31-year-old before the Premier League transfer window shut on 1 September and there were no further moves before Saudi Arabia\u2019s closed six days later.<\/p>\n
However, Saudi Pro League director of football Michael Emenalo has said the\u00a0door is not closed\u00a0on a move for Salah.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are kidding me, yeah?\u201d said Klopp.<\/p>\n
\u201cA week after we close the transfer window, you ask about the January transfer window?<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously, you can\u2019t wait until December to ask these questions. We will see what happens. Until then, I\u2019m not worried in this moment.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t even think about it until you opened that wound again. No, I\u2019m not worried.\u201d<\/p>\n
No bad blood with Henderson<\/strong><\/p>\n Klopp, speaking before his side\u2019s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers (1230 BST) on Saturday, also addressed former captain Jordan Henderson saying he did not feel wanted by Liverpool prior to moving to Al-Ettifaq in the summer.<\/p>\n Henderson had been with the Reds since signing from Sunderland in 2011 and made 492 appearances for the club, becoming captain and winning seven major titles including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and EFL Cup.<\/p>\n \u201cIf one of those people [at Liverpool] said to me, \u2018we want you to stay\u2019, then we wouldn\u2019t be having this conversation,\u201d\u00a0said Henderson earlier this month.<\/p>\n \u201cNow, that\u2019s not to say they forced me out of the club or they were saying they wanted me to leave but at no point did I feel wanted by the club or anyone to stay.\u201d<\/p>\n Henderson moved to Saudi Arabia after Liverpool brought in midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai early in the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n \u201cI read it after I heard about it. \u2018Hendo\u2019 said the truth in all departments,\u201d said Klopp.<\/p>\n \u201cWe had our talks. I told \u2018Hendo\u2019 I wanted him to stay but I had to talk in these conversations about the possibility of him not playing regularly.<\/p>\n \u201cIf \u2018Hendo\u2019 would have performed, he would have had maybe 50 games. Absolutely fine and possible.<\/p>\n \u201cThe relationship we had, I thought it was important that we speak about everything, and that means \u2018what happens if\u2026\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Hendo\u2019 is fantastic player, I will love him forever and he is a super guy but he is not great when he is not playing.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was my captain and I said I wanted to talk about it now because I didn\u2019t want to wake up one morning and we were locking horns because he thought he would be starting and I was telling him he would not be.<\/p>\n \u201cIn Hendo\u2019s ear and mind that came out as \u2018he doesn\u2019t want me here\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat he said is that if I would\u2019ve told him, \u2018Hendo, stay here, you will be the main man in midfield\u2019 and stuff like this he would have stayed. That\u2019s the truth \u2013 but I couldn\u2019t say that.<\/p>\n \u201cAs much as I wanted him to stay, I couldn\u2019t say that and that\u2019s why it is better \u2018Hendo\u2019 moved on.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s not a bit of bad blood or whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
