The Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Osa Nehikhare, has claimed that the media aide which the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, brought with him to a government event in Edo State was not assigned to him by the state government.
According to Chris Osa Nehikhare, during the event, the security team of Godwin Obaseki had to accredit everyone who came to the event claiming that they were the media aide of Philip Shaibu. Chris Osa Nehikhare noted that the security team did not know of any media aide to the Deputy Governor and as such, they instructed them to leave.
Chris Osa Nehikhare said that the Edo State Government only has one media aide to the government and the media aide was already covering the event before the supposed media aides of Philip Shaibu tried to gain access into the event.
Chris Osa Nehikhare disclosed that the supposed media aides of Philip Shaibu was not accredited because nobody knew who they were and as such, one of them picked up his phone and called Philip Shaibu and informed him of their inability to enter the event.
Philip Shaibu came to the entrance of the event center and tried to get his media aides into the event, but the security refused to let them in and as such, Philip Shaibu left with the media aide.
