The Former Nigerian Senator, activist, and author identified as Shehu Sani has expressed concern over the past unfulfilled promises by the government to alleviate poverty in the country.
In a recent post, Shehu Sani explained that “the Past Government promised to lift the people out of poverty”.
The Present Government is promising to lift the people out of poverty. We are reaching a point where the people will beg the Government to please leave them in Poverty, Shehu Sani disclosed.
“The poverty you know is better than the one you don’t know”, the ex-lawmaker revealed. Recall that the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promised to end Nigeria’s long-time plaguing poverty.
It’s not a new promise as past administration has also made such promises to the masses without any noticeable improvement in the country regarding Poverty alleviation.
Nigeria is still grappling with unfavorable economic growth, low-income creation, unemployment, and financial crunch which has affected spending over the years.
