Each ans every school has a code of conduct that is agreed and signed off by all involved from the principal, teachers, students and even parents.
Every school has a dress code and a hair maintenance code that always has to be adhere to and failure to do that can lead to suspension or even expellsion.Today a student was forcefully removed from school at the Crowthorne Christian School because she had dreadlocks.
The student 12 years of Age, Typing Gcabashe was removed by her principals husband, who is not an employee of the school, out of the school.
12 year old Tylin has been attending Crowthorne Christian school since she started school and she had always had dreadlocks.
The school code says that all hair has to be tied up in a ponytail or a bun, which can be seen thatvhow she was wearing her hair. The principal has claimed that her hair was not part of the conduct, but therebis clearly nowhere in the code that states that students should not have dreadlocks.
Tylin’s dreadlocks, though in a bunch, they show that they are over five years old and thus mean that she has had them since she started school at Crowthorne Christian School.
First of all the school had no ground to removing Tylin out of class because she was adhering to the school code of conduct.
Second a grown adult had no right to manhandle a child like he did.
The principals husband had no reason to be at the school or even be involved in a matter concerning the school. After this conversation it becomes very clear that this principal was biased on this matter and by thus conversation it is clear that she was not even willing to speak with the students parents first.
