In a recent video shared on his YouTube page during an Online Sunday Service Part B, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), recounted a significant encounter from his past.
He shared how he met a person on the sports field, who was the games master of a Secondary school. This individual later played a crucial role in supporting Pastor Adeboye’s pursuit of post-graduate studies. The cleric emphasized that every meeting with someone could have divine significance, as God may have orchestrated those encounters to shape one’s future.
Pastor Adeboye encouraged his listeners to be diligent in their activities, always engaged in their Father’s business as Christians. He reminded them that their primary job is to occupy and carry out the Lord’s work until His return. The work they do to earn a salary should be seen as an extra job, while their core mission is to be witnesses for Christ. The pastor shared the testimony of a sister who attended a meeting of accountants and witnessed to a brother there.
This seemingly chance encounter led to the brother accepting Christ and eventually becoming her husband, resulting in one of the most successful marriages within the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Pastor Adeboye urged his audience to be proactive in witnessing to others, as they never know the impact it may have on their lives.

In essence, Pastor Adeboye’s message conveyed the importance of recognizing the divine providence in everyday interactions and the potential for life-changing connections. He encouraged believers to remain faithful and active in their Christian witness, as God may use those encounters to fulfill His purposes in their lives.
