The Super Falcons Of Nigeria will be playing their first game of this year’s World Cup tournament tomorrow when they take on Canada at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium. Heading into this encounter, the Nigerian Women’s National Team will be aiming confidently for the win to kick-start their run in the competition brilliantly. The Canadian Women’s National Team on the other can’t be underestimated as they are well equipped with top-quality players capable of causing great harm to the Super Falcons team tomorrow.
Well, in today’s article, I will be mentioning three Super Falcons players that need to be at their best performance for the team to aid their victory over Canada. Let’s take a look.
1, Asisat Oshoala.
The Barcelona Forward is unarguably one of the best Super Falcons players at the moment. The 28-year-old has made a great name for herself playing in Europe and helping Barcelona win several titles. Asisat Oshoala is definitely a leader in this team who will be expected to step up to the occasion when she is needed the most. The Nigerian International will need to be at her best performance tomorrow to help the Super Falcons claim that all-important win over Canada.
2, Chiamaka Nnadozie.
Chiamaka Nnadozie is the No.1 reliable goalkeeper of the Super Falcons and there is a high chance of her starting this game against Canada. The Canadian Women’s Team are very attacking-minded and can cause serious problems for the Super Falcons’ defense line tomorrow. Chiamaka Nnadozie will have to be at her best performance in goal for Nigeria to help in preventing Canada from scoring in the encounter.
3, Rasheedat Ajibade.
In the last Women’s AFCON tournament, Rasheedat Ajibade was without any doubt the best player for the Super Falcons. The Atletico Madrid Forward is a brilliant finisher and also a good creator of chances in the Nigerian Women’s Team. The 23-year-old will be expected to bring out her best performance to help the Super Falcons in defeating Canada tomorrow.
