On Saturday in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, pledged to end corruption if elected.
Obi gave the commitment during a gathering with traditional leaders in Kagoro, Kaura Local Government Area, in the southern part of Kaduna State. Nigeria’s potential, he claimed, was being held back by corruption, which is why it must be eradicated. I will fight corruption and stop all revenue leaks with their help, despite opposition saying that he is stingy.
“We’ll cut back on government waste and start conserving money for national reconstruction. Obi reaffirmed his intention to fight poverty in order to lower crime.
“We must begin lifting our people out of poverty because the less poverty there is, the less crime we’ll have,” he stated.
In order to address Nigeria’s security issues, the presidential candidate promised to collaborate with traditional leaders. Ufuwai Bonet, the Chief of Kagoro, praised Obi in his words for associating with the people of Southern Kaduna.
