Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, stated in a meeting with the Ogbu Bolo leaders that Rotimi Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers State, is attempting to challenge him but is unqualified to do so. He advised him to check his blood pressure before engaging in combat, pointing out that his blood pressure would rise as a result of his desire to fight him.
Wike went on to say that combat takes place physically rather than verbally. None of them, he claimed, are strong enough to fight him, and even if they were, they might faint while doing so.
He said, “Let me tell you, Amaechi, your son, none of them has what it takes to fight me. We’ll smoke them out soon, so don’t worry. That isn’t how it happens. You should check your blood pressure, sugar level, and any other internal organs to determine whether you are ready because the heat will make your blood pressure rise and if it does, your doctor might not be available. So you need to be very careful.”
