The spokesman for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council for the south east region, Dr Josef Onoh may have subtly taken a swipe at the presidential candidate of the labour party, Peter Obi after he had urged Nigerians ahead of his presidential bid to take back their country together.
Onoh according to Vanguard News which was shared by Festus Keyamo on his verified social media handle enjoined the masses to pay deaf ears to such a call from the former Anambra governor, as he inquired which country Peter Obi was calling on the people to take back, adding that such a statement should be disregarded.
He said the country does not need the people to take it back and hand it to anyone as the labour party presidential candidate may have pointed out, but requires them to work together and promote the nation.
Speaking further, he added that such a call could be regarded as a political scam intended to take away what outrightly belongs to that individual.
In his words… “I ask, take back which country and hand it over to him? Isn’t he afraid of getting infected, too? Clearly this is a clear case of political scam where the thief tells you to break into your father’s house and steal his money and bring it to him while he waits in the corner street to receive it and the gullible one falls victim only to realize that he stole his school fees”
