A spokesperson for the Labour Party (Obi/Datti) presidential campaign council, Dele Farotimi, explained while speaking about the Nigerian educational deficit that engineers graduate from Nigerian universities and colleges but become unemployed because the potentials of these graduates are not trusted by their employers, let alone be explored.

According to him, “We’ve trained people in the university to learn philosophy, but we don’t have the capacity to train those who build the nation. It pains me when I look on our roads and see third-grade experts doing the construction work just because he has a white skin, and yet we have engineers who are unemployed.” “Why are we graduating illiterates and certificated idiots? “I’m sorry to say, but the fact is we are graduating people who do not have the capacity to deduce logically.”
