According to Pat Utomi, a leader of the Labour Party, godfatherism tainted Anambra politics up until Peter Obi became the state’s governor. Because of his experiences in Anambra State, he claimed that Peter Obi had what it takes to halt what he called a transactional administration if he wins the presidential election.

He added that the nation’s economy is being bled dry by those in charge and that Nigeria needs a leader who would stop this from happening.
He continued by saying – “So based on what I do know about him, he has a mindset for transformation. I believe there is a claim that he is frugal. My gosh, you only require a stingy man to lead the nation at this time. The guys are causing extensive damage. To put a halt to this madness and stop the bleeding, you need a guy.”
