Inaki Williams will come good- Chris Hughton assures Ghanaians » ™-

After his poor performance for the Black Stars garnered attention, head coach Chris Hughton has backed Inaki Williams immediately.

The second match of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers between the Black Stars and Angola ended in a 1-1 draw. Williams, an Athletic Bilbao player, has thus played in eight games while donning the Ghanaian uniform, and he has still not scored a goal for the Black Stars.

Despite a recent slump in goalscoring for the Black Stars, Hughton is adamant that the Spanish forward still contributes more to the squad. He stated:

It’s very much part and parcel of the game. What we know about Inaki is he is a very good player, playing in a good team in a good league.

With someone like Inaki it’s not all about goals. You know he plays consistently for his team, he is a play that makes a lot of runs, he stretches play which sometimes benefits other players. The goals will come but sometimes it doesn’t come as quick as you want. What’s more important for us is his contribution.
