David Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State has claimed that the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, has worked for the emergence of Bola Tinubu, the President-elect in the recent concluded presidential election. Governor Umahi made the statement during the commissioning of remodelled community secondary school in Rivers State, at Okoro nu Odo on Monday, as reported by Daily Post.
Umahi was in Rivers State on the invitation of Nyesom Wike, the state Governor for the commissioning of the school project.
Governor Umahi insisted that the President-elect, Tinubu must know that the PDP National Chairman work for him so he will have to integrate him into the upcoming administration.
”I want to thank the PDP suspended Chairman. Ayu did very well because if he had agreed to resign as the national chairman, it would had been very difficult for the All Progressives Congress, APC to win the recent concluded presidential election. So, Ayu is our man, and I commend him very well. I think Tinubu must know that Ayu work for him and must integrate him into the upcoming administration,” Umahi said.
Recall that Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP National Chairman was suspended by Benue State chapter of the PDP, an action that he described as futility.
