The blues managed to beat their top ris Arsenal and Manchester United on signing Atletico player Jao Felix. Arsenal and United were interested in signing the 23-year-old, but he ended up joining Chelsea on loan for a £11m fee.
Chelsea manager Graham Potter, decided to include the Portuguese star in the lineup that faced Fulham. But the game did not end well for Potter’s side and their new signing Felix was sent off on his debut.
Chelsea were a goal behind in the first half but Koulibaly equalized for the blues in the 47th minute. A few minutes later Chelsea were reduced to 10 men after Jao Felix made a reckless tackle on Keny TeTe.
Fulham later scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute courtesy of Carlos Vinicius. After receiving the red card, Felix will now miss three premier league matches and it will cost Chelsea around $2m in wages and loan fee.
