The Komfo Anokye Hospital in Kumasi has prohibited the use of social media during contact hours.

According to the hospital, this action was done to combat the growing trend of nurses spending more time on TikTok and other sites.

The KATH administration had witnessed how many patients were being neglected while the majority of the nurses were busy on their phones.

According to the hospital’s CEO, Professor Otchere Addai-Mensah, the lives of patients who attend the facility, which functions as a referral hospital, cannot be compromised.
