“Azimio Talk to us at Night For a Handshake” UDA’s Bigwig Claims as he Sends Message to Raila, Karua

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party secretary general Cleophas Malala has now claimed that some leaders allied to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance have been reaching out to the Kenya Kwanza government at night for an handshake.

Speaking with Citizen TV on Tuesday evening, Malala claimed that the protests by the opposition is only made to cause instability of the economy so that the president can reach out to them for an handshake.

He further implored upon the Azimio boss Raila Odinga, the Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua and other leaders within the opposition to call off the protests and allow the president to deliver on his agenda.

“What these people want is simply an handshake, and we want to tell them that this time round we are very focused, no handshake. These people talk to us at night, I do not want to mention names today but Azimio do bargain with us at night. I was watching one of the legislator giving us ultimatum on TV while attending maandamano, yet he is our customer at night. Next time I will bring names.”

Raila and his team have however maintained that they do not want an handshake with Ruto’s government.
