General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, a Ugandan general and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s son on 12th January recounted his statement on capturing Nairobi three months ago.

Speaking via his official Twitter handle, Muhoozi Kainerugaba revealed that some thought ‘ capturing ‘ Nairobi was a joke but for some like him, it wasn’t a joke as he believes the truth will win someday.

Muhoozi who is a senior presidential advisor in charge of special operations further stated that the East African federation shall be realized soon.

Muhoozi’s tweet on capturing Nairobi in two weeks stirred an online outburst, an incident which forced his father Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to apologize on his son’s behalf.

” 3 months ago, I made a ‘Joke’ about taking over Nairobi in 2 weeks. Now any Tom, Dick or Harry immediately saw it for what it was…’a Joke’. But unfortunately for some, it was not. Either way, the truth shall win! The East African Federation shall be realized”, he wrote.

His statement comes off after claiming that Uganda’s special forces are one of the greatest militaries in the world without a doubt having been trained to win every war by his father, Yoweri Museveni.

His statement however raised mixed reactions from Ugandans online.

” Our military is ranked 12th in Africa and 92nd in the world with Sudan’s, s.sudan’s congo’s, and Kenya’s militaries all on top of ours, Is this too big for you to brag about every day!”, one reacted.

” @updf is a professional army with a human face and heart. Discipline is a core ue of UPDF and I think our best brains as Ugandans are in the @updf_ .”, another said.

Meanwhile, let us wait and see what happens next.
