A post-mortem on gay rights activist Edwin Chiloba whose body was found stashed in a metallic box in Kapsaret, Uasin Gishu County is has been conducted.
The post-mortem has been conducted by Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
According to earlier police reports, Chiloba was Painfully executed by strangling before his body was dumped along the road.
After his murder, several people amongst them a man who is believed to have been his lover were arrested.
Odhiambo who remains the key suspect in the shocking murder was nabbed leading to the arrest of four more suspects who aided in the bizarre killing.
According to sources, Chiloba and his allies were last seen partying at one of the local bars before his mysterious death.
Speaking to the media, a caretaker of a house that Chiloba and Odhiambo lived revealed that he saw Odhiambo carrying out a metallic box that later turned out tp have been containing the remains of the famous gay activist.
Odhiambo after serious grilling would later confess to the murder saying that he killed Chiloba owing to the fact that he cheated on him with another man that has been widely identified as gay activist also.
Postmortem
According to government Pathologist Johansen Oduor, Chiloba was suffocated to death, Oduor has revealed that the rogue killers put several socks and a piece of torn jeans inside his mouth leading to his death.
“He was suffocated to death, meaning he died due to lack of air, his eyes were still intact and were not gouged out as earlier alleged”
This shocking development has attracted the attention of international human rights organizations with the US Govt now offering to take part in the investigations.
Kenyans have also elicited some wild reactions across the internet after the said shocking news.
Nonetheless, a number have openly rejected and dejected the same sex marriage narrative that was being sold by the slain activist.
Led by Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi, they have said that Chiloba died due to his actions.
