As schools are expected to reopen for the first term, parents have been expecting to dig feel into their pockets to take their children back to schools. Especially those whose children are to join Junior Secondary Schools, JSS, they have been having sleepless nights over the future of their children. Should be noted that recently, the government announced that the JSS learners should have new set of uniforms to distinguish them from their Primary School counterparts.
To reduce pressure on parents, the government has now announced that it will provide books and learning resources for the CBC students joining Junior Secondary School. This move will shut down the fears from most parents about the readiness of the government to implement Competency Based Curriculum, CBC. It will also help to cushion parents from acquiring such resources for their children. Parents will now only incur in buying uniforms for the learners joining JSS. Do you think move is s relief to parents?
