People’s Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council spokesman Charles Aniagwu ruled out the possibility of the Radical People’s Congress winning the upcoming presidential election.
Speaking in an interview with Arise News, the PDP leader said that if the Progressive National Congress chooses Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as their candidate, the People’s Democratic Party will participate in a contest.
Speaking further in the interview, Charles Aniagwu said that because Bola Tinubu was the candidate of the APC and the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar became the beneficiary of the bloc’s votes that Muhammadu Buhari had in his presidential election.
He added that the path to victory was clear for Atiku Abubakar, and Bola Tinubu was not even among the presidential candidates.
Charles Aniagwu said, ” APC had chosen Osinbajo, maybe we would’ve been involved in a contest.” Osinbajo has the right frame of mind; he has respect for everybody. Osinbajo may not have all the money that Emi Lokan has, but he is acceptable to most Nigerians. Luckily, as God would have it, they didn’t look in that direction because, by now, we would be involved in a contest because Osinbajo almost has the qualities of Atiku.
“From what they bring, Atiku is now politically the heir apparent to the 12 million votes that Buhari once had in the house.” When we talk about our path to victory being the clear heir to the existing numbers that Buhari had, you can see we have the clearest path to victory. “Emi Lokan isn’t even in the equation.”
