In-form England international and forward maestro, Marcus Rashford was spectacular yesterday for Erik ten Hag led Manchester United team in their Emirates FA Cup clash at home against Everton at the Old Trafford.
The 25 year old retained his spot in his team’s starting XI line-up having been enjoying a blistering goal scoring form in recent time and he was able to replicate the same tempo by netting yet another goal which was the last of the night, as well as created a brilliant assist for the opening goal scored by Antony.
Marcus Rashford in the game was sensational for the Red Devils at the heart of the attacking line where he was a big threat in the opposition box in the whole 90 minutes duration of the game.
The first half of the game hanged on the balance with nothing separating the two sides going into the half time break as Antony’s 4th minute opener for the host was cancelled out by Conor Coady’s 14th minute equalizer.
The Red Devils in the second half got another lead in the 52nd minute courtesy of an own-goal scored by Conor Coady who made it two goals to one after putting the ball into his own net, before Marcus Rashford converted from the penalty spot in the last minute of the game which ended three goals to one.
Marcus Rashford with his only goal of the night has now became the first Manchester United player to score in seven consecutive home appearances in all competitions since Wayne Rooney between February and April 2012.
He will then be hoping to keep tempo and momentum going for his team in their next game as they continue their pursuit in the current campaign.
