Joel Osteen is the Senior Pastor of the Texas-based Lakewood Church. The cleric renowned for his motivational messages has taken to his official Facebook page to share the video of a message he has delivered on the good plans of God for His people and why He would always call on their names, no matter how sinful they might be.
According to the cleric, from 0:06 of the video, he has revealed in his words that, God is a merciful God, He has not in any way held your faults against you. He knows you but your name and hence, He would always want you to be closer to Him, more than you understand. As shared by the cleric, God has never and would never at any time say to you that He does not know your name. He would not hold your sin against you but rather, would love to be associated with you.
The cleric has also buttressed his message by sharing an example from the scriptures of the life of Zaccheus. Zaccheus was a publican, people renowned for their various notoriety in collections of taxes and customs from the people. Zaccheus heard that Jesus of Nazareth passes hence, he climbed a tree to see him, being a short man. The Lord Jesus, instead of just looking up at him on the tree and asking him to come, decided to call him by his name. This shows the level of familiarity and acceptance that the Lord shows towards sinners.
God will never condemn anyone nor would He cast out anyone as unfit before Him. He loves you and would only want you to be transformed according to His will and expectations for your good.
