4 Years Course, Will Be 4 Years Course, No More Strike – Tinubu Assures Varsity Students

According to information gathered from Vanguard and several credible sources, it will interest you to note that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has concluded the collation and announcement of the results of the 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections and has declared Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC winner of the presidential election.

According to information gathered from a reliable source, President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday assured university students in Nigeria that there will be no strike during his regime. He said, “four-year course will be a four-year course, no more strikes, education loan will be available.”

It will interest you to note that Tinubu made this statement during his acceptance speech after he was declared the winner of the presidential election by INEC. It should be recalled that Nigeria has continued to witness series of academic strikes from one government to another. The last strike embarked upon by ASUU was over eight months.

Now that Bola Tinubu has been declared the president-elect by INEC, he has assured university students of not embarking on strike anymore. Does it mean that he will pay ASUU all their earned allowances and keep to the 2009 agreement between ASUU and the federal government? Feel free to share your thoughts on this.
