In Kenya, the joy of a parent is when all the kids are in school learning and catching up with all other students in terms of syllabus completion. Apparently, many parents often don’t like children at home because they believe home environment has a lot of negative distraction and children are more likely to be influenced to do immoral behaviors.
Now, during closing ceremony, schools claimed that they may resume learning on 24th January but this seems like it might not be happening again. Today, we have received news that might be devastating to parents. According to the education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu, it might take couple of weeks or even months for schools to reopen.
This is because as the education sector, they want to establish laboratories and other structures that are needed by students while learning. He said that it might take long but if it will serve children in the right manner then it’s better to sacrifice that time and give the education sector enough time so that they can complete all that they have in their bucket list.
