How Job Seekers Are Scammed In Kenya.

Getting a job in Kenya is not as easy as most students believe. This is because you have to do a lot of work to get a job in Kenya without being scammed.

If you are searching for a job, you have to be very careful since there are some fraudsters targeting job seekers in the country.

Below are two common ways in which job seekers are scammed in Kenya.

1. Commitment fee.

In this scheme, a fraudster will try to convince you that he/she can give you an online job. However, they will insist that you have to pay a certain amount as a commitment fee since they want to deal with serious individuals only. If you fall into the scheme and do not do enough research regarding the job, you will end up giving your money for nothing.

2. Required documents.

Here, a fraudster will contact you claiming to have received your contact from one of your referees as they have a job opportunity for you. They will then take you through some requirements and demand some outrageous documents that they know you do not have in hand. They will then convince you that they can help you get the documents but you will have to pay for the service. If you agree to their demands, you will send your money without receiving any job or documents.
