The speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, claims that the scarcity of petrol and naira notes in the country is intended to prevent Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, from winning the 2023 presidential election.
According to the Cable, Gbajabiamila made this revelation on Tuesday in Lagos at the launch of the second phase of a transportation initiative called “Gbaja Ride,” which aims to empower Surulere constituents.
He also claimed that the petrol crisis and cash scarcity were caused by “some elements” seeking to undermine President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration’s successes.
Gbajabiamila, speaking on the new Naira notes scarcity, said, “Nobody has the power to persuade me that this is not a plot to prevent Asiwaju from winning the presidency of this nation.
“But I’m glad that our God is a wonderful being because he has stopped the plot that these people conspired to hatch.
“I have traveled everywhere with Asiwaju’s campaign team, the east and north, and I doff my hat to Nigerians.”
