I Foresee Real Crisis- Kwankwaso Reacts As Bloomberg Poll Places Peter Obi Ahead Of Others

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party, has provided his response to the results of the most recent pre-election survey that was performed for Bloomberg news.

It is important to keep in mind that the survey that was carried out revealed that Peter Obi was the preferred candidate for the presidency. He came out on top, beating out other candidates such as Atiku Abubakar, Bola Tinubu, and even Kwankwaso himself.

The former governor of Kano state claimed, during an interview with Channels TV, that the results of the elections pose a significant threat to the nation and that the government’s various security agencies have to take this information into consideration.

“They are engaging in behavior that poses a significant threat to this country, and I want the relevant authorities, those in the federal government and the security services, to take this into consideration. When Muhammadu Buhari first ran for office in 2003, everyone in northern Nigeria was planning to vote for Buhari. To the extent that I lost my seat, it was primarily due to the wind that was blowing in that direction.

“People in Kano who voted were under the impression that everyone else in the country supported Muhammadu Buhari. After the results of the election were announced, these voters went out into the streets and set fire to tires, killed people, and damaged property because they were under the impression that everybody else in the country supported Buhari. Northern Nigeria, particularly the northwest region, was the site of a great deal of activity.

Rabiu Kwankwaso made the observation that if precautions are not taken, the unrest that occurred in the north after Buhari’s loss could very well occur again in the event that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, is not victorious in the election. He stated that there could be a genuine emergency at the end of the day if another candidate is announced as the victor of the election.

“Now, a situation very much like the one before is attempting to resurface. As a result of the fact that certain individuals have presented fictitious data, this is the first problem, this is the second problem, and in our judgment, that paper ought to be inverted. Now that the dust has settled, people are funding other polls like this one. People who put their faith in that survey believe that this one (Peter Obi) has won, and if the results of the election were to show otherwise, it would be comparable to what took place in Northern Nigeria. Now, the unfortunate truth is that if things are allowed to continue the way they are now going, I anticipate that there will be a serious problem at the end of the day.” He added.
