Festus Keyamo, a member and spokesperson for the APC’s presidential campaign, has backed up his position on the subject of age among the upcoming election’s presidential contenders with a quote from Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party.
In the video, Peter Obi claims that age is irrelevant when it comes to administration while speaking during an interview on Arise TV. He also provided examples of organizations with senior CEOs who were successful.
According to the video posted by Keyamo, Obi said: “I can only assure you that age has nothing to do with the governance problem. California now performs the best in the United States. About 80 years old, the governor. Age plays no factor in it. And none of the heads of the best economies in the world China and India, which are both currently flourishing are younger than 65.”
In response to Peter Obi’s assertion, Keyamo tweeted; “The only thing I can guarantee is that age has nothing to do with the governance issue. 2019 saw Peter Obi running for Atiku. He advises against supporting the more senior candidates in 2023. We can now see that some of the people running for office in this nation are the biggest hypocrites!”
