Predictions for all six games on Saturday –

The festive feast continues on Saturday with six Premier League matches, with Manchester’s United trip to West Ham at 12.30pm kicking off an enthralling set of fixtures.

At 3pm, Fulham host Burnley, Newcastle travel to Luton, Bournemouth head to Nottingham Forest and Tottenham have a home clash against Everton.

The 5.30pm fixture promises to be a thriller, as the title-chasing pair of Liverpool and Arsenal do battle at Anfield.

West Ham vs Manchester United (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Manchester United have lost seven of their first 17 Premier League matches this season and another defeat is looming when the Red Devils travel to the London Stadium.

West Ham are going well in the league, beating Nottingham Forest, Burnley, Tottenham and Wolves within their last six fixtures, and they could prove too sharp for a depleted United defence.

West Ham, with forwards Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus in sparkling form, should cause serious problems for United although the home defence generally offers up the odd gift to opponents so backing the Hammers to win and both teams to score looks a sound bet.

Fulham vs Burnley (3pm)

Fulham have been solid on home soil of late, beating Wolves 3-2 before recording back-to-back 5-0 victories over Nottingham Forest and West Ham.

The Cottagers advanced into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup in midweek, so confidence is high and they should have too much for relegation-threatened Burnley.

The Clarets are without a win in three and have lost five of their last six away matches, with the only positive in that road form a 1-1 draw at Brighton.

Luton vs Newcastle (Saturday, 3pm)

Luton have been involved in some entertaining home fixtures of late, narrowly losing out 4-3 to Arsenal and then being edged out 2-1 by Manchester City.

The Hatters have struggled to keep the goals out and they have conceded 32 in the league, a statistic that should go up against a Newcastle side that have netted 36 times.

Over 2.5 goals has landed in Luton’s last four matches, while the same bet has been successful in six of Newcastle’s last seven away games in the league.

Nottingham Forest vs Bournemouth (Saturday, 3pm)

Patience in Andoni Iraolo has paid off with Bournemouth on a run of four wins – including each of their last three away games – and a draw from five completed matches.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s appointment at the City Ground has had a lukewarm reception with Nottingham Forest followers remembering his Wolves side, latterly at least, and his Tottenham team were never the most gung-ho.

Forest have lost five of their last four, drew the other, and confidence is low. Take the buoyant Cherries to pick them off.

Tottenham vs Everton (Saturday, 3pm)

Tottenham still have a lengthy injury list to deal with and the suspensions of Yves Bissouma and Destiny Udogie for this clash have only increased the selection difficulties for manager Ange Postecoglou.

A visit of an Everton side that have been excellent on the road is the last thing Tottenham want and the Toffees will fancy their chances of chalking up a fifth straight away success.

Dyche has instilled belief throughout his squad and the Toffees can take the spoils in what should be a lively affair in the capital.

Liverpool vs Arsenal (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Anfield has been a fortress for the Reds, who are unbeaten on Merseyside this season, and they will be confident of overcoming an Arsenal side that have shown frailties on the road.

The Gunners’ last five away games in the league have seen them draw against Chelsea, lose to Newcastle, beat Brentford and Luton before then going down at Villa.

Mikel Arteta’s side needed an 89th-minute winner to overcome the Bees and a stoppage-time strike from Declan Rice to squeeze past the Hatters 4-3, so they have been leaving things very late and their luck may run out on Saturday.
