MP Hopeful Tackles Bad Roads

Kwaku Fosu Frimpong addressing the media

A DEPLORABLE road network of about 451 kilometers stretch, which links 47 farming communities in the Ahafo Ano North District of the Ashanti Region, has been reshaped to ease the movement of people and goods.

This commendable development has been made possible following the timely intervention of Kwaku Fosu Frimpong, who is seeking to contest the parliamentary seat in the constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The beneficiary communities included Manfo to Abuuso, Betiako, Donyame, Sika Fre Mogya, Akrofonso to Ankaase, Akwasi Ase to Aboagya-Pobriso, Jacobu to Dormaa among other farming communities in the area.

Virtually all the roads linking the communities in the district usually become muddy and unmotorable whenever it rains hence Fosu Frimpong’s decision to intervene.

Fosu Frimpong, said his decision to reshape the bad roads was to improve transportation of goods and people, to help boost economic activities.

He said aside the reshaping of the bad roads, he has also rolled out several policies such as helping some people in the area to get employable skills development trainings, the provision of free farm inputs and formal education.

“I believe given the opportunity to be a representative in parliament for this area, will give me more room to spread my support for more people”, he said, adding that he is also working to curb telecommunication network problems at Sibrisu,

Meanwhile, some of the residents at Manfo, a community within the district, could not hide their joy when a they saw the caterpillar and grader grading the bad roads, in order to put in good shape and ease the movement of people and goods.
