Ghana jollof is nice– Hilda Baci makes U-turn after eating at Becca’s house

It appears that the Jollof war, which was sparked by Hilda Baci’s unfavourable comment about Ghana Jollof, has come to an end.

The Nigerian celebrity chef, who previously held the Guinness record for the longest cooking time, managed to stir up controversy by making derogatory remarks about Ghana jollof, much to the dismay of Ghanaians and this reinforced the animosity between the two neighbouring West African countries on social media.

However, Becca, who is married to a Nigerian and resides in Nigeria, has managed to bring an end to the war by serving Hilda Baci a delicious plate of jollof rice.

In an effort to avoid resorting to insults, Becca took a diplomatic approach by offering Hilda Baci a taste of her jollof, allowing her to make an unbiased assessment.

A video emerged online showing Hilda Baci enjoying the jollof at Becca’s house and expressing her willingness to grant another interview on the jollof saga and tell the whole world that she goofed with her first statement, obviously!

Watch the video below as she says Ghana jollof is nice!

What Hilda Baci previously said about Ghana Jollof

Hilda Baci said in a recent podcast that she has tried Ghanaian Jollof and can say that it doesn’t taste as good as Nigerian Jollof. Hilda Baci says she has seen pictures and recipes of Ghanaian jollof and can confirm that the people of Ghana make different kinds of Jollof, such as “Tolo beef” Jollof.

After consuming the best Ghanaian jollof prepared by a Ghanaian cook, she claims that Nigerian jollof is superior. She also said that she competed with a Ghanaian cook and that she was sure that her jollof was better than his.

Baci had said Ghana jollof lacks flavour. She gave a lot of accolades to Nigerian jollof and demeaned Ghanaian Jollof, and this earned her a flurry of bashing from angles that continued unabated.

Someone wrote, ” Ghana Jollof Has No Flavour- Chef Hilda Baci. Someone helped me educate her that her records in the Big Book weren’t the best chef so she should know her place. Nigeria Jollof that tastes like Gravel”.

Another wrote, “Is she the best cook record breaker or longest cooking record breaker? Cos I’m confused”.

In response to the report shared by Graphic on Twitter, media personality Nana Aba Anamoah also expressed her disdain over the comment by simply chuckling and writing, “Mtchewww.”
