With final rounds of International fixtures happening early this week, a return to domestic football is expected over the weekend.
A number of players turned out for their National teams and unluckily they suffered setbacks and will be on the sidelines in the upcoming fixtures.
Here under are a number of players sidelined for the coming weekend.
1. ARSENAL.
Gabriel Magalhães – Suffered a thigh injury when on International duty with Brazil and more information is yet to be conveyed by the Arsenal Medical team. He is likely to miss this weekend fixture against Everton FC.
Thomas Partey – Had a groin injury before the Manchester United game and may be on the sidelines for longer as stated by the gaffer.
Jurrien Timber- Has been a dreadful start to his Arsenal career with a Knee injury sidelining him for a couple of weeks.
2. CHELSEA.
Romeo Lavia – A new addition to the injury list with an ankle injury keeping him out for a couple of weeks.
Carney Chukwuemeka – The new signing suffered a knee injury and will be on the sidelines this weekend until further notice.
Recce James – The Chelsea skipper pulled his hamstring and will as well be out this weekend.
Christopher Nkunku – A knee injury has kept the attacker out of action and will still be missed this weekend.
3. LIVERPOOL.
Virgil Van Dijk – An extra suspension for decent against match day officials for the defender.
Trent Alexander Arnold– A nagging hamstring keeps the defender out.
Ibrahima Konate – Hamstring injury keeps the defender on the sidelines.
Thiago Alcantara – The talented midfielder is still nursing his hip injury.
4. MANCHESTER CITY
Nathaniel Ake – Suffered a hamstring injury when on international duty.
Jack Grealish – Communication is anticipated.
John Stones – A thigh injury has kept him out.
Kevin De Bruyne- Unlucky for the midfielder suffering a hamstring injury.
5. MANCHESTER UNITED.
Antony – Under assault investigation and will be sidelined for an unknown period of time.
Sofyan Amrabat- The loanee is nursing a back injury and may return soon to action.
Lisandro Martinez- A foot injury for the defender keeps him out.
Rafael Varane– On the sidelines with communication anticipated.
Luke Shaw – suffered a muscle strain.
Mason Mount – Hamstring injury keeps him out.
