Cecilia Marfo, a gospel singer, has described how fellow musician Esther Smith aided her in the early phases of her career.
According to her story, it required Esther Smith’s referral to someone in the music industry during a chance meeting in London, United Kingdom (UK) for her to be encouraged to pursue a career in music.
She said that Esther Smith suggested her to Cebes and that she was subsequently contacted; as a result of her support, she began to perform popular music.
Cecilia Marfo recently told JoyPrime TV about how Esther Smith found her as a gospel performer.
“When things were not going well for me, I was looking for opportunities,” Cecilia Marfo said. “In London, Esther Smith met a man named Cebes.
“During their meeting, she informed Cebes that she had a sister in Ghana and that the way she sings indicates that she has promise, so he should seek for her, and she then mentioned my name to him.”
“Beforehand, Esther Smith was someone I admired, and I used to visit her when she was in Ghana,” she added. Cebes came to seek for me after she testified about me. God worked through Esther Smith, and I am grateful to be who I am today.”
As a reminder, Esther Smith is a renowned & multiple award winning GH gospel singer, performer, songwriter; also served as a role model to most Ghanaian musicians.
