DJ Slim Speaks To DJ Aluther About The #OrijinUntamed: Searching For Talented Artists, Auditions Slated For Oct 13 in Bolgatanga

Guinness Ghana’s flagship brand, Orijin, is set to ignite the nation’s creative spirit with its groundbreaking talent search initiative, Orijin Untamed. The journey commences on October 13th in Bolgatanga, with zonal auditions extending to Kumasi, Accra, and Takoradi in subsequent months. Orijin Untamed is on the lookout for extraordinary spoken word artists, singers, rappers, and mixed media artists eager to showcase their authentic talents.

Orijin Untamed was recently unveiled during the launch of the brand’s new campaign, “Celebrating Orijinality.” This campaign pays homage to the celebration of authenticity and self-expression. Estella Muzito, Marketing and Innovations Director at Guinness Ghana, expressed, “Creative artists and musicians aged 18 to 29 residing in Ghana are invited to participate in Orijin Untamed by submitting a 1-minute video showcasing original work that reflects Orijin’s core philosophy of ‘Orijinality.’” These submissions will be evaluated by a judging panel before the auditions begin in Bolgatanga.

“We aim to provide a platform for authenticity and innovation, and ‘Orijin Untamed’ seeks to do just that as it empowers and showcases individuals with creative talents,” DJ Slim stated in an interview with DJ Aluther on Word FM.

Finalists from the zonal competitions will progress to the grand finale, where they will once again showcase their talents, with the ultimate winner receiving an impressive GHS80,000.00 cash prize. Yaa Amoah-Owusu, Marketing Manager of International Spirits and Ready to Drink brands at Guinness Ghana, reiterated Orijin’s commitment to nurturing creativity in Ghana. She emphasized, “This nationwide endeavor provides a distinctive platform for talents to gain recognition and contribute to reshaping their respective fields.”

To enter the competition, participants must submit a 1-minute video showcasing their art or music talents, including a visible bottle of Orijin with the new label. The video should be uploaded to the participant’s Facebook or Instagram page with the hashtag #OrijinUntamed and tag @Orijingh. Shortlisted participants will be notified through social media direct messages from the official social media handles for Orijin Ghana in each zone.

The zonal competitions will offer shortlisted candidates a chance to present their talents to the creative council. Following Bolgatanga, auditions will proceed to Kumasi on October 20th, Accra on November 3rd, and finally, Takoradi on November 11th, with the grand competition taking place in December.

Orijin Untamed represents an exciting opportunity for Ghana’s budding artists and musicians to shine, celebrate their uniqueness, and contribute to the nation’s creative landscape. Guinness Ghana’s commitment to fostering creativity and innovation is at the forefront of this initiative, making it a pivotal moment for the country’s burgeoning artistic talents.
