The DreamChild Foundation, organisers of the musical event dubbed ‘HoodTalk Festival’ have revealed that Tamale edition of the concert will take place at the Jubilee Park on September 30.

A number of Ghanaian hiplife, dancehall, Afrobeat and highlife artistes will be performing at the free event which is being organised to create awareness of the fundraising drive to raise $14m for the construction of five paediatric clinics in five regions across Ghana.

Thousands of music fans from Tamale will attend the event, which will serve as a platform to honour Ghanaian music and artistes.

A number of personalities from corporate institutions including traditional leaders, MCEs among others are expected to grace the event.

The DreamChild Foundation launched the HoodTalk Festival as a project to use music to engage young Ghanaians in conversations about current issues affecting their advancement, while having fun.

The first concert of the HoodTalk Festival was held on September 2 at the Kingdom Gardens, Ashiyie-Regimanuel Katamanso Estate in Accra, and was organised in collaboration with an audio-visual company, Virtual Hub.

BEATWAVES learnt that the event would be different, and of course better than the one held in Accra, because the organisers have laced the performance list with known faces.

The event will feature a variety of well-known performing artistes including Maccasio, Fad Lan, Abu Sadiq, Omar Janda, Flawer Gaskia, Young Shark, Raheem, Tamale Youth Home Cultural Group, and a host of others. It will be one of the largest meetings of local artistes in and around Tamale.

Celebrated Ghanaian DJ and one of Ghana’s best, DJ Merqury Quaye, DJ Tel, DJ Malik, DJ Carlos, Gal Dem DJ, DJ Tell, among others would also perform at the event.

According to the organisers, music lovers in and around Tamale should expect a fun-packed night at the event which kicks off at 8pm.

The organisers stressed that the concert will be a unique experience for fans, adding that Ghanaians should come and experience an extraordinary musical concert on September 30, 2023.
