Tragedy Strikes: Teacher Fighting For Her Life After Being Allegedly Attacked at School in KwaHlabisa
In a shocking and distressing incident, a primary school teacher in KwaHlabisa, northern KwaZulu-Natal, is currently battling for her life in the hospital. The assailant responsible for this horrifying attack was reportedly her boyfriend. The incident unfolded on Monday, September 4, when the alleged boyfriend entered the school premises in a fit of rage, wielding a bush knife.

Following the assault, the alleged boyfriend hastily fled the scene, only to be discovered hanging from a tree in the village on Wednesday, September 6, in what is suspected to be an act of suicide.

Nonhlahla Khoza, the MEC for Social Development, personally visited the hospitalized teacher and expressed her shock at the severity of the attack. She remarked that the teacher’s survival is nothing short of miraculous. She went on to voice her deep concern about the rising cases of -based violence, emphasizing the need to address this pressing issue.
Khoza praised the healthcare professionals and social workers for their resilience and dedication in saving the teacher’s life. However, she acknowledged that the road to recovery would be long and challenging for both the witnesses and victims of this traumatic event.
