Nigeria is grinding to a halt under Tinubu, says PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) recently expressed concern about Nigeria’s governance, saying that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress( APC) are in charge of the nation, according to TheCable.

National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Debo Ologunagba emphasized how poorly thought-out guidelines are causing a growing rift between the state and the people. The party emphasized that the nation’s peace, unity, and general existence are now in danger as a result of these policies, which have caused widespread hardship, insecurity.

The PDP has highlighted a number of problems, the elimination of subsidies and the floating of the Naira, which has led to an alarming rise in living expenses. Additionally, this has had a negative impact on productivity across the country, caused significant job loss, and caused business closures. As a result, across the nation, poverty, hunger, uncertainty, and despair have increased.

The APC government’s absence of a tangible devotion to citizens’ safety, particularly in light of rising violence, was further criticized by the PDP in its statement. Since May 29, 2023, more than 500 Nigerians have been killed in different states, and the number of suicide cases has increased, according to the group.

Eight army members who were traveling to Sokoto State for their required national service were kidnapped, and the PDP expressed regret over the lack of action. The party emphasized that the APC government did not provide a correspondingly soothing response to the downing of the African military aircraft, which resulted in the loss of military personnel.
