A 28 year old mother was arrested for allegedly torching her 7 month old daughter to death. The woman is said to be from Vosman in Witbank. The incident occurred on Sunday 27th August at around 3am. The police were alerted about a shack that was on fire.
Upon arrival the police discovered the gruesome scene of the toddler being consumed by the flames. It is alleged that the mother and her husband had a heated argument. The husband then left and it is alleged that during this time the woman torched the shack with her toddler inside. It was also reported that members of the community got ahold of the woman and they tried to take matters into their own hands but the police arrived and rescued her. The woman was arrested and will appear in court on Tuesday.
