Road accidents are a significant cause of injury and death in South Africa. According to the Road Traffic Management Corporation, there were over 10,000 deaths on South African roads in 2020 alone.
One of the most common causes of road accidents is reckless or negligent driving. This includes speeding, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and distracted driving. But some people feel like they can still drive while intoxicated.
Alcohol gives some people a confidence boost that may make them feel invincible when they choose to drive drunk, especially if they have done so before without getting caught. Of course, any police officer will tell you that getting behind the wheel after even one beer or glass of wine is playing with fire.
Speaking of driving while drunk it brings me to this guy who got into to an accident and can be seen standing by the side with the bottle of alcohol still drinking as if nothing major happened. When asked what happened he claim he is drunk and doesn’t have car insurance an proceed to drink.
This caused a stir on social media with hope care free he is.
