EPL Table as Brighton overtakes Man City & Arsenal after 4-1 win over Luton

Brighton & Hove Albion displayed their dominance as they thwarted Luton Town’s hopes of a triumphant return to the top-flight with an impressive 4-1 victory in their Premier League showdown on Saturday.

In their first top-flight appearance in over three decades, Luton Town found themselves mostly on the defensive, with their stamina waning as the match progressed, ultimately falling prey to their formidable opponents.

Solly March set the tone with an early goal, granting Brighton a 1-0 lead as they headed into halftime. The second half witnessed new recruit Joao Pedro further extending Brighton’s advantage, successfully converting a penalty to secure a two-goal lead.

Luton Town managed to claw back a goal through a penalty of their own, expertly converted by Carlton Morris.

However, the late stages of the game saw Brighton reaffirm their dominance. Substitute Simon Adingra and Evan Ferguson each netted a goal, sealing the deal and emphasizing Brighton’s control over the match.

This win will see the Seagulls move above Arsenal and Manchester City, Roberto De Zerbi’s side will face Wolverhampton Wanderers next while Luton will aim to get back to winning ways against Chelsea.
