Why Should South East Have Extra 0 Ministerial Nominees While Other Zones Have 2 Or 3 – Tony Nwoye

Senator Tony Nwoye, a federal lawmaker from Anambra state has come out to reveal that the contingent of Senators from the South East geopolitical zone are unhappy with the number of ministerial nominees picked by President Tinubu for his administration.

According to Sen. Nwoye who appeared in an interview on Channels television tonight, while the other geopolitical zones have extra ministers in President Tinubu’s ministerial list, the South East have none.

In his own words as seen on Channels television this night…

“The issue we have is that the North West have extra 3 ministers, making it 10 ministers from there and they have 7 states. North East have extra 2 ministers, making it 8 for them because they have 6 states. North Central have extra 2 ministers representing the zone, additional. South West have extra 3 ministers, Ogun state alone has 3 ministers. South South have extra 2, making it 8 for them. But then South East have extra 0. And we have 5 states. Why should South East have extra 0 Ministerial nominees while other zones have 2 Or 3?”

“We are saying to him, let him appoint any person he wants to appoint, it’s his prerogative but those provisions of the constitution of section 5a, part 3 should be maintained.”
